Study on the ultrasonic extraction process of griseofulvin
ABSTRACT Objective To study the optimal extraction conditions of griseofulvin by ultrasonic extraction methods. Methods The content of griseofulvin in extractor is determined by UV spectrophotometry and the content of griseofulvin used as quality control criteria. Utilizing orthogonal test to gain an optimum extraction conditions, based on the result of single factor algorithm. Result The best extraction conditions are as follows: the extracting solvent is acetone (10V/W), the power is 300W, the extraction time is 40min, and the ultrasonic radiation time is 3s at a time. The validate experiment indicates that the condition gained by experiment is an optimum one. Conclusion The ultrasonic extraction process of griseofulvin is feasible, and could be used in routine operation.
